Introduction

Welcome to the website of the Motorsport Industry Association.

This website should serve as a useful resource for both companies and individuals for all motorsport related issues. This public access area of the site features six menus:

• This introductory section explaining what the MIA stands for, how we operate, our networks and what we have to offer to companies in our industry.
  
• The Activities section provides you with an overview of forthcoming events, but will also give you an impression of what previous events were like. As not all the MIA’s activities result in events, the ongoing projects lists will provide you with a good insight into what else the MIA is involved in.
  
• The Members section, apart from providing our members with a portal to their own members area,  features a list of all our member companies and their details as well as an on-line directory. This enables you to find out which of our members are involved in what area of our industry.
  
• The latest developments in the world of motorsports can be found in our News section. This section will also give you access to all MIA press releases, and will also provide you with links to numerous other motorsport news websites to satisfy your hunger for motorsport news.
  
• The About The Industry section, provides you with all sorts of information on the motorsport industry in Britain. Several MIA publications are downloadable in this section as well and, on top of that, we also provide you with other useful links to websites for our industry.
  
• The Education section will provide advice on how to get a career in motorsport, and allows anyone searching for a job in motorsport to post their CV details, so they can introduce themselves to our members via the MIA members area. This section furthermore features links to universities that do motorsport courses, as well as links to recruitment companies and other useful resources for motorsport career hunters.

MIA members will not only be able to make use of this public access area, but will have an entire website for their purposes in the MIA members area. This area features useful information, market reports, an interactive trading post, an employment area, and a technology transfer section.

Although this all may sound good already, we are constantly looking for ways to improve and increase the usefulness of this site for everybody, so we welcome any and all suggestions you might have that will further improve this on-line service. Please contact our webmaster with your suggestions, or contact any MIA staff member for your motorsport related queries.
