SME partner for STREProject in FP7-2012-ICT call (ICT for Green Cars)
ABSTRACT:
An Austrian development/engineering office and vehicle prototype manufacturer is interested to participate in a FP7 R&D project (FP7-2012-ICT-GC). The small-sized enterprise is specialised in electric power train controls for all-wheel-drive vehicles. They search for projects focused on the development of special or racing vehicles based on four-wheel drives. Functions like active steering assistance, torque vectoring, electronic differential locks, and traction control should be integrated.
DESCRIPTION:
A small-sized Austrian enterprise, founded in 2006, is specialised in development of special vehicle concepts with hybrid and electric power trains. They combine professional know-how in CAD-construction and traditional crafts in order to produce complete functional prototypes. Currently the engineering company acts as lead partner in a FP7 funded project. A vehicle control unit for an electric power train working with four independent electric motors is being developed. The solution offers a wide range of functions like active steering assistance, torque-power-speed control, etc. It allows creating high performance power train solutions for next generation vehicles with different applications.
They search for partners working on research projects in the field of ‘new vehicles with electric 4-wheel-drive power trains’. Currently the European Green Cars Initiative with the CALL identifier FP7-2012-ICT-GC seems to be the most suitable funding option right now.
The SME offers expertise and additionally access to its entrepreneurial network (in-wheel motors, power electronic components and nearly all other components for completion of prototype vehicles). The company is searching for partners with project ideas in this specific area to build up a consortium for a common proposal.
Partner activities could be the development of electric components (e.g. motors, batteries and inverters), vehicle design, light weight chassis development, or running gear design.

The ideal partner should have good ideas regarding new kinds of electric vehicles with more than one motor, and, partners should plan to start a research project in the 7th framework programme.
