CDE is holding a seminar entitled “Innovation for the Front Line” in order to provide a general briefing and outline the current and future research calls and opportunities in different areas of defence research, covering all types of science and engineering. It will also show attendees how they can develop and submit proposals that will be assessed and possibly funded in just a few weeks. Research Calls to be addressed, in brief, during the day include:
- Armour & Protection (current call, closes 7th Dec)
- Bio-detection (to be launched soon as a web only call, i.e. no separate event, call closes 20th Dec)
- Unmanned Distribution Capability (future call, main launch event likely in Jan 2011)
The seminar will take place between 10:30 and 15:30 at the Institute of Physics, 76 Portland Place, London
There will also be a briefing on priority areas for rapid exploitation of research to support front line operations.
