This year's DSEi defence exhibition is to grow by 10 per cent to cater to demand from a new audience.
According to organiser Clarion Events, smaller manufacturing and electronics firms are concentrating on sectors that are seen to be strong in the current climate.
Clarion Events' Anna Greenhill says, "Nations around the world are having to cope with a range of threats to their security and this is reflected in the continuing demand for new technologies. This has meant a lot of interest in the show from SMEs who have not historically been defence suppliers."
The defence and security exhibition is to take place at ExCeL London between 8th and 11th September.
The last show in 2007 attracted 26,500 visitors and 1,352 exhibitors, which included 77 official military delegations from 50 countries. Clarion Events hopes to attract over 30,000 visitors this year.
First Time Exhibitor Zone stands are still available, for more information please click here or visit the DSEi website.
