2009 Lord Austin Lecture. In anticipation of the 2009 – 2010 Formula 1 Season, Jon Hilton will introduce the audience to the technology behind the ‘KERS’ system being implemented into Formula 1 for the first time, and look at the effect this technology will have on the performance of the cars. Other motor sports applications of the technology will be discussed in addition to civil applications and the huge potential benefits that can be delivered.
