MIA and CBI lobby for Tories to retain R&D Tax credits if they gain power

Recent CBI lobbying, supported by the MIA, on the R&D tax credit has been picked up this week in James Dyson's Review for the Conservative Party on high-tech business.

Dyson called for R&D tax credits to be retained, made easier to claim and for them to be increased in value when the economy allows. If adopted by the Tories, this would represent a major change to their previous policy stance - although the CBI remains concerned about a possible narrowing of eligibility criteria.

The MIA urges all UK members to keep putting pressure on their MPs and opposition to increase R&D Tax credits for SMEs after the election.
