What are Pathfinder Grants?

Pathfinder Grants range between £5,000 and £20,000 and are awarded for projects up to six months in length. Projects awarded funding will be focused on gathering evidence of market validation, establishing a commercial opportunity and demonstrating the regional benefit of supporting a technology.

Who can apply for Pathfinder Grants?

Pathfinder Grants are awarded to small and medium sized companies and sole traders who are working on a new product, process or underlying technology. Eligible technologies include:

Materials
Design, Engineering and Manufacturing
Energy and Waste
Information and Communication Technologies
Biotechnologies and Therapeutics
