The UK is spearheading the development of vehicle-centric technologies which contribute to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions, paving the way for the advancement of Low Carbon Vehicles. As part of the Integrated Development Programme, The Technology Strategy Board (TSB) is soon to release a £19m competition to fund collaborative R&D projects related to the development of technologies and supply chains for low carbon vehicles.
This presents an exciting opportunity to work on industry-led collaborations with supply chain partners and the knowledge base, to develop new products, systems and solutions to this fast growing market
The AEM Innovation Network in collaboration with the Materials KTN, are well placed to bring together like-minded companies from the Yorkshire & Humber region and beyond, providing supporting information on the automotive sector, as well as giving advice and guidance on developing bids to respond to the TSB competition.
AEM is holding a free to attend event on February 11th 2010 at NAMTEC, Rotherham, where it will present a summary of the competition call and give guidance for a successful application. There then follows a discussion session around some of the current project ideas already being developed and an opportunity for you to present your own ideas. With response times to TSB calls being short, networking with the right people is key to developing a successful bid. This event is the ideal opportunity to make these contacts, with representatives from across the supply chain.
