Cambridge: 24 and 25 September 2009 - http://www.ifm.eng.cam.ac.uk/cim/symposium2009/
I have pleasure in inviting you to the annual Cambridge International Manufacturing Symposium taking place on Thursday 24 and Friday 25 September 2009 on the theme of '”Configuring manufacturing value chains – responding to an uncertain world”.
The 2009 CIM Symposium will focus on how leading firms are responding to the uncertainties of global supply, including their response to the current economic downturn. It will highlight novel approaches currently used by industry leaders, both in established and emerging economies.
The first day will focus on best practice and the application of research, with presentations by senior executives from leading firms describing their approaches and experience managing international manufacturing and supply networks. Confirmed speakers include:
Marco Resteli, Head of Operations, Nestlé Europe
Tom Sreeves, Manufacturing Director, Aggreko UK
Steen Wein Hansen, VP Global Supply Chain, Huntsman Advanced Materials
The second day will review latest research on manufacturing value chains. As usual, we plan to use the opportunity to take stock of the field and emerging key ideas, identify the changes going on around us and explore the priorities for both research and practice.
We very much hope you will find the Symposium of interest and that we shall have the pleasure of welcoming you or one of your colleagues to Cambridge in September.
