Kingston University's development bike has been on the dyno for the last couple of weeks allowing the team to sort out a few teething problems with sensors and controllers - which have now all been resolved.
The first road test took place on the A3 last week, currently running with around ¼ of the total battery pack needed. The test results were very positive and, although test duration was limited, it has allowed their engineers to validate all theoretical predictions of voltage drop, current draw, temperatures, speed, etc.
Track testing will commence later in February, weather permitting. The Kingston team are still hoping to attract more industry and technology partners to this unique venture – so please do contact Paul Brandon (Team Technical Director) to find out how best you can get involved - they value support of any kind.
Kingston University extend a huge thank you to all of their current sponsors, without whom this exciting project would not succeed.

The team are keeping a regular video diary of their progress (testing video is currently being edited and will be published in a couple of weeks) and this can be found at http://engineering.kingston.ac.uk/motorsport/ecobike.htm
