On the 27th of September 2008 World Rally Radio, the official internet radio station of the WRC, will be broadcasting live from the ‘Colin McRae Forest Stages Rally’ in Perth.
The event is set to be monumental as thousands of fans travel far and wide to witness some of Rallying’s greatest drivers compete in memory of McRae. WRR will be there in force to bring all the action to listeners and McRae fans around the world via wrc.com.
Colin’s father, Jimmy McRae, who will be competing on the event is looking forward to the weekend…
‘We are really excited about this year’s special tribute version of the Colin McRae Forest Stages and are extremely grateful to the international drivers who have kindly agreed to compete out of their respect for Colin. The broadcast will begin at 0845 UK Time on Saturday 27th September and will be hosted by veteran broadcaster Greg Strange. Two stage end reporters will be out in the field interviewing drivers and providing local colour – Colin Clark, WRR’s regular reporter and rallying expert George Donaldson, who joins the team for this event.
