As everyone is aware the UK Motor Industry is having a few problems at the moment. Last week the 2010 Motor Show was cancelled, the Commercial Vehicle Show has already been cancelled and the Society of Automotive Engineers UK has just cancelled its Midlands Centre Annual Dinner in April.
But at Autolink we are not going to be put off by this doom and gloom! Over the past five years, the Autolink event has proved itself important to the industry as a means of finding new business opportunities, discussing business development through collaboration and showcasing industry capability and support initiatives – all areas that are even more important in the current climate.
We know that all companies are watching expenditure very closely and although we reduced the admission fees this year many are still reluctant to commit to attend. In light of this we have met with the main sponsors and we believe that, in the current economic circumstances, it is even more important the event goes ahead this year.
We are therefore going to waive all delegate fees this year and admission to Autolink 2009 will be free.
Other than making the event free we will be operating it in the same way as before. Delegates will be able to make appointments in advance with other organisations which are of interest to them. There will still be the opportunity to exhibit at the event (there will be a charge for exhibitors and advertisers).
