The Motorsports Engineering Program at the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), are currently inviting applications for a full-time lecturer or clinical lecturer position.
The mission of this Motorsports Engineering BS program is to train graduates with a solid background in the fundamentals of engineering and with the specialised skills required by the motorsports industry.
Candidates for this faculty position are expected to have experience in the area of motorsports engineering, and must hold an MS degree or higher in an engineering or related field. They must have demonstrated ability to develop and teach a wide range of motorsports engineering courses (e.g. structural mechanics, design, data acquisition, internal combustion engines, or other areas that apply to motorsports engineering), and a thorough understanding of the motorsports industry. The faculty will also be expected to advise students, supervise design projects in motorsports engineering, perform independent research, and lead students to participation in racing events.
The position could be available as early as January 1, 2011.
