The Technology Strategy Board is launching, in March, two important and valuble Low Carbon vehicle competitions, of interest to motorsport and high performance engineering SME companies.
The first is a £9 million competition with up to £8 million aimed at collaborative research and development and up to £1 million for feasibility studies. The competition covers both “Highly innovative strategic technologies in low carbon vehicles” and “Disruptive technologies in low carbon vehicles”.
The second is being launched as part of the wider Low Carbon Vehicles innovation platform, with TSB investing up to £500k in battery reuse and recycling feasibility studies.

Key Dates:
3rd February 2011- a networking event to facilitate consortia building for this competition is being organised by the Transport Knowledge Transfer Network at the University of Warwick, International Digital Lab from 10.00 am
7th March 2011- collaborative Research & Development competition opens.
