BERR’s long awaited simplification of government support schemes has been launched - reducing over 3,000 separate initiatives and interventions to just 30 under the title 'Simplifying Business Support'. Now the whole package can be accessed through www.berr.gov.uk.
UKTI’s range of services to assist new and inexperienced exporters, is now grouped under four headings, with Accessing International Markets (AIM) and Developing Your International Trade Potential (DYITP) being most significant.
DYITP offers an export health check to see if a company is ready to export, provides access to training to help them develop the knowledge and skills needed to trade internationally and – through an International Trade Adviser – provides access to other training and advice products from third parties such as BCC, the Language Network and the Institute of Export.
