Be warned - Expo guide... advise your staff not to sign any such request

15 Oct 2012

MIA has been made aware that a publication, using the name EXPO GUIDE, organised by Expo Guide in Mexico, is approaching potential exhibitors at upcoming trade shows. These ‘official’ approaches can appear to come from the organisers' show catalogues, and the forms which the company sends out, appear to be co-branded, in some way, by the organisers of the show.

The MIA has found no link between any show organisers and this Expo Guide. It appears to be misleading advertising, which apparently, led to this company being obliged to relocate outside the EU some years ago.

In a new twist for 2012 , the forms ask you to update your "already existing entry" which claims to be “information already on record”. The suggested entry seems to come from the organisers' official catalogue, NOT as a result from any previous agreement with the recipient.

The MIA believes that the documents sent by this company are deliberately misleading. To find out more about this company visit  www.stopecg.org or type Expo Guide to your web browser!
