The MIA is an active Trade Association member of the CBI, which has recently produced the attached ‘thought piece’, which we believe should be of interest to all UK MIA members.
The CBI are encouraging all stakeholders to utilise this for strategic planning, policy work, and the like.

In terms of CBI’s own follow-up:
Firstly regarding policy implications, by the end of March 2010, each of their policy directorates is to have identified any changes which the CBI would like to make to their policy recommendations, as a result of the project’s findings.
Secondly, there are elements of the report’s key findings, which CBI is incorporating into its new Work Plan 2010-2012 (to be signed off in the New Year.) For example, CBI is planning to undertake a project in 2010, on the theme ‘The UK as Place to Invest’ and another on ‘Business Reputation’ .
