The UK is recognised as the home of the world’s premier motorsport cluster, Motorsport Valley®, with an industry that creates an estimated £4.6 billion and employs a workforce of over 40,000 people, including 25,000 highly skilled engineers.
The CSW sub-region comprises over 250 motorsport, automotive and high-performance engineering companies employing in excess of 4,300 full-time workers.

The Gateway to Motorsport Teams - A number of race teams and associated performance engineering businesses have chosen Warwickshire as their strategic base, including Aston Martin Racing, AB Motorsport, Team CVR (Cartridge World BTCC team) and MML Sports (formerly the Mitsubishi rally team).
The Gateway to Industry Support - Three of the most vital automotive and motorsport trade associations and support bodies are based in the CSW sub-region: The Motorsport Industry Association, the Motorcycle Industry Association* and the Auto Cycle Union.
The Gateway to Events & Exhibitions - The National Exhibition Centre* hosts numerous events throughout the year such as the Autosport International show and the Shakespeare County Raceway & Coventry Speedway* host various race events.
