DC Electronics goes stateside with appointment of US representative

DC Electronics is pleased to announce the appointment of Kinetic Racing Technologies as the North American agent for its products, which include wiring-looms and electronic power steering. The move sees DC Electronics, one of the world’s leading motorsport electronics companies, reinforce its position at the forefront of high quality, reliable and innovative electrical systems for the motorsport industry.

Managing Director, Scott Jasmund, brings with him over 15 years experience gained working with some of the most respected companies in the industry. Through his company Kinetic Racing Technologies, Scott has developed specialist software solutions for Lola, Porsche Motorsport, Ganassi Racing, Dyson Racing, Flying Lizard Motorsports, Alex Job Racing and Pratt & Miller.

Scott has been a part of championship winning Porsche Motorsport teams for the last two seasons in ALMS. His involvement with these world-class motorsport teams includes oversight of their data and electrical systems, data analysis and engineering, traction control tuning and race strategy. Since 2006 he has also been a part of hugely successful teams, resulting in 17 wins and 36 podiums finishes in both the ALMS and Grand-Am race series.

DC Electronics will continue to manufacture its high performance wiring-looms in the UK and have them shipped to the US where Scott will be responsible for their initial design, distribution, installation and aftercare. This gives each customer a complete service from drawing board to race track.

David Cunliffe, Co-founder and Director at DC Electronics, commented: “This is an exciting time for DC Electronics. Not only are we heavily involved in some amazing projects, but we now have the unique opportunity to work with one of the world’s leading racing strategy software developers and race engineers. Scott’s dedication and commitment is unrivalled, and we are excited to now be able to offer our innovative wiring-looms through a dedicated US representative.”

Scott added: “I am delighted to take up this position, and believe that with our combined expertise, we can offer a unique product and service to clients worldwide. DC Electronics and I share the same philosophy and commitment to innovation, which will ensure we stay well ahead of our competitors for many years to come.”

This is a pivotal time for DC Electronics to be moving into the US market. With the budgets being already put in place for next year’s car builds, and the start of the international trade shows, the motorsport industry is shifting into gear and preparing itself for the 2010 season.

DC Electronics can be found at the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show in December 2009 (where they will have a presence on the Motorsport Industry Association’s stand (stand 1557) and at the Autosport International Show in January 2010 (stand E252).

DC Electronics is also an official product sponsor of the BLOODHOUND Project. This iconic challenge, lead by Richard Noble OBE, is to create a land speed record car capable of 1,000mph.
