DC Electronics launches full production facility in Mooresville

DC Electronics officially opened their doors to their full production facility in Mooresville, North Carolina this week.

The event was attended by race teams, members of the North Carolina Motorsport Association (NCMA) and local and international members of the UK Motorsport Association Industry Association (MIA).

DC Electronics is one of the motorsport industry’s leading manufacturers of custom built electrical systems, with 15 years’ experience in the industry. The company has worldwide distributors for its products, ensuring it is at the forefront of innovation and technology on a global scale.

The American arm of the business DCE Inc. will be servicing all of the North American motorsport market including NASCAR, ALMS, Off Road, Indycar and Grand-Am.

The new facility is an important step for the company’s growth strategy and will be handling all aspects of a vehicle’s electrical system from initial design and production to roll out and ongoing trackside support.

Products designed and built by the company have been used in championships worldwide, including NASCAR, Formula 1, World Rally, Superbike and even F1 Powerboats.

David Cunliffe, Managing Director of DC Electronics, commented: “We are incredibly excited to have launched our full production facility in the US. We already have experience servicing NASCAR and ALMS teams and are looking forward to expanding our operations to enable us to service a greater number of clients in the US market. We have plans to take the staff up to ten over the next three years and look forward to become involved in the local community.”

Chris Aylett, Chief Executive of the MIA, comments: “DCE first came to the Performance Racing Industry show in Orlando in 2008 with the MIA to research the North American motorsport industry market. It is a fantastic achievement for them now to be opening a facility in Mooresville and to be supplying the leading Sprint Cup teams.”
