Designed entirely in-house by bf1systems, using Catia supplied by Desktop Engineering, it’s bespoke frame utilises the classic diamond form, but with a unique ‘twin-vane’ design. The down and seat tubes splitting into two as they approach the extra-wide bottom bracket area, thus offering excellent lateral stiffness with no weight penalty.
This design allows material to be placed further from the central axis, where it is most effective. Using the same stress analysis tools employed by race teams across the world, the carbon fibre frame comprises the optimum blend of rigidity and lightweight, whilst also building in compliance.
FACTOR001’s fully integrated, motorsport derived, data-logging system measures an unparalleled number of signals at rates of up to 250Hz. This enables riders and their trainers to collect and analyse laboratory quality data in a real-world environment, for the first time, in order to optimise a rider’s technique for better performance in competition.
