Haymarket Media Group has added the Motor Sport Business Forum, the leading conference and exhibition events for the global motor sport industry to its major motorsport property portfolio.
Under the new agreement, the Forums will be run on a day-to-day basis by Haymarket’s successful conference and events division, which already handles major exhibitions and conferences alongside Autosport International, the Autosport Awards and the Performance Car Show. The Forum will enjoy further marketing and content benefits through Haymarket’s global motor sport media portfolio, which includes leading magazine titles and services F1 Racing, Autosport, autosport.com, Motorsport News, LAT Photographic and Castrol Rankings.
The Forums bring a valuable face-to-face, business-focused component to Haymarket’s established global motorsport media portfolio of magazines, digital media, exhibitions events, marketing & photographic services and research capabilities.
Critically, Simon Berger, Founder of the Motorsport Business Forum will remain with the business as CEO, ensuring continuity, focus and energy throughout the partnership process.
The events will be managed by Haymarket’s experienced conference and events division, which has long track record of creating, hosting and delivering a broad range of successful business-to-business events. This addition will see Haymarket benefit from the Forums established position as the key business-to-business platform for global motorsport executives and is a further indication of Haymarket’s continuing strategy of providing best in class content in all its business sectors.
Haymarket Consumer Media managing director, David Prasher, said: “We are delighted to add this prestigious event to our major motor sport properties. The Forum provides an important global platform for the motor sport industry to meet, discuss and conduct business away from the track and we will look to enhance and grow that offering around the world.”
Forum founder Simon Berger, who will remain CEO of the business, said: “Haymarket has been an important media partner from our launch and I am proud to be working with a company that I know can take it to the next level. Haymarket’s leading position and vast expertise in motor sport will help us to grow in stature and benefit all of those involved in the industry.”
The next Forum event will take place in Asia Pacific in April 2011, with another event planned for the Middle East later in the year.
The first Forum was held in Monaco in 2005 and since then it has grown globally with events in the Middle East and the US. Each of the Forum’s bring together the leading players from across the industry to meet, talk, network and negotiate deals. They offer full conference schedules focusing on the business of Formula One and other major global championships as well as world-class exhibition areas featuring displays and stands from the biggest companies in the sector.
