The Henry Surtees Team Challenge kart event will be held on the Mercedes-Benz World test circuit at Brooklands on 4 July 2012, in conjunction with the Brooklands Museum, in between the Goodwood Festival of Speed and the British Grand Prix.
The Team Challenge will be a 2 hour endurance for thirty teams of 4 or 5 persons for an entry fee of £1000 per team. In addition to the Henry Surtees Trophies for the successful teams, there will be further attractive prizes.
Following the event, there will be a champagne reception, prize-giving and interviews for the media, with motorsport personalities and top drivers.
The Team Challenge will attract corporate and enthusiastic drivers from the business community, sponsors, supporting companies and team personnel. As a start, Bernie Ecclestone has already reserved two teams!.
Teams from all MIA members, with their guests, would be welcome.
Karts are supplied by Daytona, with back-up karts available. This will be a fun event, although, racing being racing, it may be ‘serious’ for most! The organisers are looking for any support - entries, prizes, sponsorship, and celebrity attendance at the prize giving. Apart from direct costs for services from suppliers, 100% of funds raised will go to charity.
