Injured servicemen prepare for epic race

20 Feb 2012

The official launch for the Race 2 Recovery challenge has taken place at Tedworth House in Wiltshire.

The project will feature a team of injured servicemen who will be attempting to compete in the 2013 Dakar Rally.

Those taking part include triple amputee Tom Neathway and below-the-knee amputee Tony Harris.

The Dakar is an endurance event with some stages requiring the drivers and co-drivers to be in their cars for 16 hours at a time.
