The IAP programme is an initiative that supports the development of new operational services across all market sectors - combining ‘Space Assets’ (such as Telecommunications, Earth Observation, Navigation and Human Space flight technologies) with others.These include:

• The development of systems to avoid bird strikes, by tracking bird migrations, for both military and civil aviation use.
Combining terrestrial and satellite communications with traditional reporting systems and satellite navigation to improve decision making and the management of operations within the UK railway network.
Monitoring and managing urban pollution levels and associated road traffic flows.
Telemedicine services for passengers on long-haul flights.
