Speedy Sebah become Rebellion Racing
Speedy Racing Team Sebah have announced today a rebranding of their team for the 2010 season. The Anglo/Swiss team will now be known as Rebellion Racing in deference to their main partner, Rebellion time pieces and race two Lola LMP1 Coupes in 2010. Click here to read more.
Lola and the Mantis programme
Lola Group has produced the Fuselage monocoque and Fwd system module structures in CFRP (Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic), along with all the individual fuselage panels and the SATCOM Radome on the initial mock-up of the proposed Mantis UAS for BAE Systems. The project was completed in approximately seven months and involved the design and manufacture of temporary tooling using rapid techniques, initially developed by Lola Composites for racecar manufacturing. Mucke magic!
Stefan Mucke was widely acknowledged as the driving bench mark in this seasons Le Mans Series and the eventual 2009 drivers champion certainly backed that up with results this season. Driving the Aston Martin Racing 007 Lola B09/60 LMP1 car, Mucke and his teams mates enjoyed victories at Barcelona and Nurburgring on their way to the title. At the Le Mans 24 Hours in June, Mucke was on superb form and one of the very fastest drivers during the small hours. The Gulf liveried Lola eventually finished in 4th position, the best overall result for a Lola at Le Mans since 1977. Click here to read more.
