We thought members would be interested to know that discussions are underway, and work is in progress, subject to final agreement by the MSA, that competition cars will begin to be issued with passports from 2012.
This work will probably start with new formulae and phase in others over a reasonable period of time, which is yet to be agreed. It seems this could well be an ownership type of document, with sub-sections to record and observe defects and major accident damage, so giving a good overview of the racing life of the car. This document will be required in addition to any other existing championship documents required, it seems.
