Motorsport to Automotive - SMMT Open Forum Event - 14 March 2012
16 Feb 2012
In 2011, vehicle manufacturers committed more than £4 billion to projects in the UK, from the development of low carbon technologies to the introduction of all-new models. This high level of investment comes with the added bonus of significant opportunities for UK-based suppliers.
A FREE to attend SMMT Open Forum on ‘Growth and investment in the UK automotive supply chain’ will take place on Wednesday 14 March at Northampton Saints Rugby Club, Northampton. These Forums typically attract 150-200 delegates from leading UK vehicle manufacturers, and automotive supply chain companies from tier 1 multi-nationals to SMEs.
Registration is at 09.00 for a 10.00 start.
The first session will be hosted by Automotive Council Chair, Richard Parry Jones, accompanied by speakers from the Supply Chain Group and Technology Group of the Automotive Council.
The second will host an OEM and global tier 1 supplier, each presenting their future growth and investment plans in the UK. There will be additional speakers covering funding opportunities to promote growth and investment in the supply chain.
