Florida Turbine Technologies (FTT) of Florida seek new machining suppliers from the UK urgently
Chris Aylett, CEO of the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA) has just received the following URGENT request from FTT, turbo machinery and combustion specialists.
They are urgently looking for multi axis machining of titanium, steel and nickel alloys for products they supply to various turbo machinery industry sectors in the USA (e.g. marine, aerospace, space and power generation). Many of their components need full 5 axis capability, up to a diameter of 500mm (sometimes as large of over 1,000mm).
Please pass this opportunity along to any company you feel may benefit and be a suitable supplier.
FTT specialise in the engineering, development, and testing of gas turbines, propulsion components, turbo pumps, and systems for military and commercial aircraft, space propulsion, and industrial applications including clean power generation and oil and gas. Check their website www.fttinc.com
They are primarily a prototype shop, therefore looking for ‘one off’s’ of the highest quality and, in addition, are looking to begin limited production operation with a specific FTT product.
They are looking for FAST RESPONSE TIME – as many of their programs are time critical. Current lead times are 12-16 weeks for critical hardware, but they want to cut this down to 6-8 weeks. And this is why they are looking to the UK high performance engineering and motorsport industry.
Anyone interested in supplying should urgently contact Brian Owen, Program Engineering Manager on BOwen@fttinc.com or at the address below, mention ‘the MIA’ please.
