The MIA is actively working on a new initiative to better engage with Government, particularly focussed on the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and their associate, UK Trade and Investment(UKTI).
The MIA organised a pre-Christmas visit to ‘Motorsport Valley’ for the very influential Minister for Trade and Investment, Lord Green. He was hosted by several MIA members, including a morning and lunch at Mercedes-AMG F1 and in the afternoon with Williams Hybrid Power. MIA members who were invited to present the story of motorsport engineering to the Minister included Lifeline, Silverstone, Flybrid, Cosworth, Xtrac and Delta Motorsport. The latter drove the Minister in their electric car – the E-4 Coupe - from one meeting to another!
