Northamptonshire Enterprise Ltd has spent the past six months working with key representatives from the High Performance Engineering & Motorsport industry to produce a Strategy paper for the county.
What makes this document different to anything else produced in the UK is that it represents the goals and aspirations of the industry who have been consulted throughout the entire process. The Strategy Paper is being launched in ‘consultation form’ to encourage a higher level of engagement with the industry and community in general. We want people to read the Strategy and offer comment and feedback on how the industry should be supported over the coming years.
High Performance Engineering and Motorsport is the singularly most important industry sector in Northamptonshire; it is the ‘jewel in our crown’ and the mix of industry and circuits gives Northamptonshire something that no other county has in the UK. This is an opportunity for anyone with an interest in the industry to get involved and help shape the way in which the sector grows in coming years.
We are delighted that the Motorsport Industry Association has already backed the Strategy and we hope the people of Northamptonshire will do the same.
