Outstanding Results in the Daytona 500 for MIA Member Teams

An early NASCAR 2009 Season positive indicator occurred at the 51st ‘Daytona 500’ with a race day sell-out, plus terrestrial TV ratings only slightly less than normal for this marquee event:

Matt Kenseth may have grabbed the headlines with his surprise victory, having only led for the last 7 laps and starting from grid 39, but The Daytona 500 was notable as an outstanding event for MIA members Richard Petty Motorsports and Richard Childress Racing - no less than five of the top ten finishers were from amongst these two MIA Member teams.

The most impressive part of the Daytona 500 performance by MIA Member Richard Petty Motorsports, is that its merger with Gillett Evernham Motorsports was only completed in late January 2009. May the successes continue... Please see results below:
