Yalta, Ukraine is the first stop in the 2010 UIM P1 World Championship series and the team and drivers of the 77 LUCAS OIL Evolution class power boat have been busy preparing in the off-season.
During testing the twin Ilmor V10 powered racing boat crushed the 6 to 7 foot waves as it flew across the turbulent North Seas in Zeebrugge recording G-Forces up to 6.4G. All test session data was logged on the new Race Technology DL2/VIDEO4 system which synchronizes four video cameras, all the Ilmor engine information, and sensor data received from the electric/hydraulic control systems. This has allowed the team to review and analyze the testing statistics and leverage the knowledge of all resources in the team.
