Precision engineering company Titan marks growth & diversification with a re-brand – A Celebration of Success During Difficult Economic Times.
09 Nov 2012
Titan has launched new branding that represents against-trend growth the company has experienced over the past few years in both new and existing markets. The new branding represents the industries that Titan is now successfully engaging with, after decisions to diversify were taken in 2009 to combat hard times in the economic climate. The company is now a leading supplier of high precision engineering services to motorsport, automotive, marine, defence and aerospace companies.
Titan has been a leading supplier in the motorsport industry for over 30 years, having started out as a successful racecar and engine builder. With demand for Titan’s products increasing at the track, the decision to become a component supplier was made in response to growing demand. Today, Titan is a leading supplier of engine, steering and drivetrain solutions for racing teams and high performance automotive companies. Whilst this area remains central to both Titan’s core business and passion, in 2009 a strategic decision was made to investigate other markets to offset the impact of the downturn.
Titan has found that skills and advanced engineering techniques honed in the competitive world of motorsport are sought after in other industries. Titan Co-owner Oz Timms observes: “We have always needed to be flexible to respond to our motorsport customers’ needs, and this capacity has enabled us to successfully contribute to the prototype and development stage with customers in other industries.” Timms, who has been with the business for over 30 years and was part of the successful Formula Ford team in the 70s, knows first hand the high demands that motorsport puts on suppliers. “We understand the vital importance of delivery and performance, and achieving this balance has proved instrumental to our diversification over the past couple of years”
Supporting the new branding, Titan is launching a new website that will provide online support to customers purchasing Titan’s products and which illustrates the services that Titan can offer to their increasingly diverse range of customers. Representatives from the Titan team will be attending the Advanced Engineering Show this week at the Birmingham NEC, and the PMW Expo next week in Cologne.
