Now in their fifth year, the PMW Expo Awards recognize and reward the innovative thinking and hard work of the motorsport industry. The Awards cover seven categories and nominations can be put forward by anyone working in the sector. Last year's winners included Ross Brawn of Brawn/Mercedes GP, Zytek Automotive, Autódromo do Algarve, and BERU f1systems.
The categories are:
- Technology
- Safety Initiative of the Year
- Testing Technology of the Year
- Powertrain Innovation of the Year
- Vehicle Development of the Year
- Motorsport Facility of the Year
People
- Design Engineer of the Year
- Team Principal of the Year
As in previous years, a shortlist will be selected from all the nominations received, and passed to the Awards jury, which will vote for the winners. The independent judging panel is made up of motorsport team principals and leading motorsport journalists from around the world.
The prizes will be presented during the Awards Gala Dinner at PMW Expo in Cologne in November. Last year's dinner was attended by more than 800 industry professionals and media!
