Double Win For Alain And Rob In Race 1 - Huff (6th In Race 2) Increases Points Toll
The Chevrolet team and Alain Menu achieved winning for the fourth year in a row one of the WTCC races in Brands Hatch, one of the most legendary tracks in the world. The Swiss driver gave the Cruze its first win on a traditional circuit ahead of team-mate Rob Huff in race 1. The two Chevrolet drivers, starting from the front row, applied a prefect strategy that prevented any threat from the competition.
In Race 2, Rob Huff finished 6th after a good fight, collecting more points and closing the gap with the championship leader, while Alain Menu saw his race spoiled by an off-track incident at the first corner. Nicola Larini had a frustrating Sunday, courtesy of a contact with Farfus and a slow puncture from some carbon debris on the track in race 1, when he was in 7th position (and a start from the front row for race 2) in sight.
