Chris Pickering, assistant editor of Race Tech magazine, was awarded the Market Engineering award for automotive technology journalism at the annual Guild of Motoring Writers dinner in London. It was in recognition of his outstanding technical articles in Race Tech magazine throughout the year.
Graduating with Honours with an engineering degree, Chris spent three years working at Ford before joining Race Tech magazine, as his wish was to become a motoring journalist, since which time he has proved to be a valuable member of the team.
According to Guild member William Kimberley, Race Tech editor, "From the day he joined us, Chris has proved that he has chosen the right path to follow. He quickly understands the sometimes very complicated issues we have to write about as an engineering-led motorsport magazine and has a great turn of phrase. I am very proud that Chris has won this prestigious award and am delighted that his talent for writing has been recognised by his peers."
Race Tech magazine is the premier motorsport technology magazine which has an international readership. It also organises the annual Race Tech World Motorsport Symposium - often referred to as the "Davos" of motorsport.
