UORs are important to motorsport companies as a growing number, mostly MIA members linked to our Motorsport to Defence initiative, have recently taken a share of the £3.6 billion which has been spent, in the UK alone, on Urgent Operational Requirements (UORs) – a system which accelerates the procurement of much needed equipment for the front line.
Due to the urgent nature of these requirements, this significant amount of money, for UORs, skips the checks and balances of the core Defence budget and comes directly for ‘additional’ Treasury funds.
