Retrac Composites are currently working in partnership with Airbus on the Next Generation Composite Wing (NGCW) program. Retrac Composites has been selected by Airbus to develop a novel manufacturing method, with the aim of producing high-rate composite wing components. The process uses an automated method of producing small-scale components, to the required configuration, prior to integration in the wing-box structure.
In addition to this development, Retrac have also been tasked with producing mid-scale composite parts for assembly demonstration activities within the NGCW program. Retrac’s relationship with Airbus has evolved over the last 12 months due to our innovative composite solutions and proactive development philosophy.
