Shakespeare Putsman's annual Intellectual Property seminar will take place on Tuesday 11 May at its offices in central Birmingham.
Speakers will cover some of the key trends caused by emerging IP case law - covering the following topics:
- Trademarks and online intermediaries
- Comparative costs of IP enforcement in Europe - how the English courts intend to fight back
- Copyright designs and confidential information
The hosts will also be joined by Brian Nicholson, specialist IP barrister from 11 South Square in London, who will discuss some of the latest developments in patent law. Brian's recently reported cases include Nokia GmbH v Ipcom GmbH & Co KG [2009] and Thorn Security Ltd v Siemens Schweiz AG [2008] CA.
