Bloodhound SSC design concept is now frozen after some 30 man years of research and design. The supply chain is developing fast and the team have already secured manufacturing partners for much of the primary structure of the car - with the build of the rear metallic chassis well under way at Hampson Industries and the front composites also under way at ACG (Advanced Composites Group) a UMECO company. The team are now looking to farm out parts of the car that have reached the mature concept stage to new partners that can complete a design and build project on these components. This list will also soon include components that the team need manufacturing with rapid turnaround. 2012 will see Bloodhound become a reality and its a fantastic opportunity to showcase your business and become an official supplier to the most advanced open source open innovation project on the globe.
