Titan Progression at Autosport International

A new range of super-smooth motorsport differentials will be the highlight of the Titan Motorsport stand at Autosport Engineering, part of Europe's largest motorsport show, Autosport International, next January.

There will also be news of the company's plans to make variable-ratio steering available to the motorsport masses and the development of component parts for drag racing machines.

The company, which has its roots in racecar manufacturing and has grown over 30 years into a highly respected component manufacturer, has seen business boosted, following a recent trip to the United States and will return to Autosport International for the fifth time next year, with a focus on promoting their increasing product range.

The unique new Traction Master differentials, which have been designed especially for punishing motorsport applications, use a special sintered clutch plate coating called Sintrak, which enables an extremely smooth and progressive torque transfer, by increasing the load to the slipping wheel in a smooth and linear manner.

It is also claimed that these specially-coated plates help to transfer more torque across the rear axle to the wheel, with higher levels of grip than steel-plated differentials, and that the coating reduces, and in some cases eliminates, the high levels of noise vibration harshness which can normally be experienced.

Developed directly from a clutch-plate limited slip differential, the Traction Master differentials come with interchangeable ramp angles and adjustable preloads, both specified at initial build, and an optimised 4-planet  gear design. The units currently come in three variants: the Sierra 7", Atlas and English.

Titan's expanding range of steering and power unit products will also be present at the show, while the company is planning to provide more information on its efforts to introduce variable-ratio steering into more forms of motorsport and to offer further details of a new range of products to suit the drag racing market currently under development.

"This will be our fifth year at Autosport International," said Zoe Timbrell, from Titan's Sales and Marketing department.

"It provides us with an opportunity to meet new and existing customers and is an important date on our sales and marketing calendar. We very much look forward to attending in January."

"We are delighted to welcome back Titan Motorsport this year; they are typical of the many exhibitors who return year after year, knowing the event's undoubted benefits," commented Tony Tobias, Autosport Engineering Head of Business Development.
