Following a very successful visit to the UK by Premier Wen Jiabao and as a follow-on from the recent UK-China Business Summit, the Chinese government has confirmed that their Minister of Commerce, H.E. Mr Chen Deming, will lead a large delegation of Chinese companies to the UK.
In conjunction with this visit, UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) and the China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Machinery & Electronic Products (CCCME), will host an afternoon event to meet the delegation on Friday, 27th February in London. There will be plenty of time to network and engage UK and China businesses. This seminar is supported by the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM). A key focus of the recent UK-China Summit was the trade and investment relationship. Both Premier Wen and Gordon Brown made very clear their personal commitment to expanding it. China's £400bn fiscal stimulus package, its commitment to move up the value chain and its policies aimed at stimulating greater domestic demand offer major new opportunities for UK companies to sell in China.
