A recent letter from Peter Luff, MP - Minister for Defence Equipment, Support and Technology explains the new Defence White Paper, he confirms the promise to help increase opportunities for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to fulfil their potential in the UK and abroad.
MOD plans to publish medium-term procurement pipelines; simplify procurement processes to reduce burdens on industry, and engage with potential suppliers at a much earlier stage, before formal procurement begins, to increase their opportunities to participate
“The UK’s motorsport SMEs will welcome this promise and opportunity to increase their business in the defence sector” Said MIA CEO Chris Aylett “ the MIA’s Motorsport to Defence (M2D) initiative has already opened the door for suppliers to secure new valuable contracts with defence, and this looks set to grow following the Minister’s commitment today. We will be working hard to make sure the promise is fulfilled”
