Vince Cable, as the UK’s Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills and President of the Board of Trade, launched a call for evidence for the Trade White Paper last week. This will examine Government policy in the light of changing domestic, EU and global developments, and help to set out the Government’s strategy for the next five years.
The views of all British businesses and individuals would be welcomed to inform the development of the strategy – to highlight issues and areas where the Government could play a more effective role, and to share your ideas for the global trading system.
The Trade White Paper call for evidence will run from 5 November to 3 December. The call for evidence can be found at: http://www.bis.gov.uk/trade-white-paper and responses should be sent to: tradewhitepaper@bis.gsi.gov.uk.
