National Motorsport Week (NMW) is nine days of motorsport activities across the country from Saturday 7th to Sunday 15th August 2010.

National Motorsport Week is a joint initiative between the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA) and the Motorsport Foundation®. The week is an objective of the Motorsport Foundation® which generates funds for good causes to develop the UK motorsport industry and the sport.

The aim of NMW is simple; to promote and inspire the excitement of motorsport to new audiences – to generate more interest, more spectators, more competitors, more marshals, more officials and more jobs.

To achieve this, the MIA needs YOUR support and encouragement to help introduce new fans, competitors, spectators, organisers, engineers, journalists, photographers, and highly-needed marshals to the most thrilling sport on the planet!

How can you help?

You, the enthusiast – ‘take a mate to motorsport’
Clubs, new events and ideas to win enthusiasts
Businesses, open your doors and let people get an ‘inside look’ into this exciting sport

We will work with TV, radio and press to raise the profile of NMW and look forward to hearing all about your planned activities and ideas. Let’s all ‘take a mate to motorsport’ in National Motorsport Week from 7th to 15th August.
