Introducing you to the defence industry at DVD 2010

DVD is Defence Equipment and Support’s (DE&S) annual stakeholder event for the Land Equipment and Joint Support Chain communities, together with the Air Commodities team. 

Bringing together the armed forces, accredited defence industry with the acquisition community, DVD provides a unique opportunity to learn about, discuss and experience the equipment and support that is critical to the success of the UK’s armed forces.

Held on 23 and 24 June at Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedfordshire, it is organised by DE&S, which is the part of the MOD responsible for equipping and supporting the UK's armed forces for current and future operations.

Members who are participating in the MIA introduction service must apply for free-of-charge visitor entry via the DVD website (www.theevent.co.uk).*

Please note that attendance at DVD is restricted to authorised visitors who are currently engaged with the defence industry, the armed forces, defence media, defence colleges and research establishments. Please visit www.theevent.co.uk for your application and further details.

As part of the MIA’s Motorsport to Defence Initiative, once again we have been asked by our members to provide an extra service to help create introductions within the defence industry. MIA members can enhance their visit by taking advantage of this exclusive introduction service.

The introduction service includes:

• Pre-event promotion to the defence primes and MoD contacts at the Show
• MIA Members’ introduction to top defence companies
• A list of top defence companies with profile details, main contact and stand number to ensure your visit creates new contacts and business opportunities
• The use of the MIA stand as a base at the event and the MIA staff will be available to help with any enquiries (N.B. The stand is 3m x 3m so space is restricted)
• Demonstration rides - TBC

Take advantage of the MIA's presence at this event: Display your company's leaflets on the MIA stand - giving your business exposure to buyers without the costs associated with exhibiting. DVD 2009 attracted more than 5,000 invited visitors and over 320 exhibitors - this is your opportunity to expose your business to the trade visitors in attendance. Please note that you will share literature stand space with other Member companies.
