The MIA's cross-sector technology transfer initiatives are proving very successful in helping Members to access new markets.  As part of the MIA's Motorsport to Marine initiative, the Southampton Boat Show provides the perfect opportunity to find your niche in the marine market.  With over 500 Marine exhibitors, this event provided a wealth of opportunity in previous years, and is an ideal forum for making new contacts and establishing your business in a new market - do not miss out!

This is an excellent opportunity for you to visit and see new developments in this fast-growing industry and carry out some market research, make initial contacts and follow them up later! 

Meet the likes of Princess, Fairline, Sunseeker and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) , explore the thousand-plus boats on display and enjoy everything about boating in one giant show!

The day begins with an informal networking opportunity and welcome reception at 10:30am in the British Marine Federation (BMF) Members' Lounge. Following this reception the MIA has organised visits to meet Marine companies or you are free to take this time to walk the Show. • 10.30  Welcome by BMF CEO, Rob Stevens
• 10.45  Welcome by MIA CEO, Chris Aylett
• 11.00  Presentation from Simon Holloway, Business Development at Cosworth Electronics on transferring technologies between Marine and Motorsport industries**
• 11.30  Networking and Close 
  11:30  MIA Group to Sunseeker for a tour at 12:00 noon
• 12:00 - 13:00 Tour of Sunseekers new luxury yachts, hosted by Jonathan Macklin, Commercial Director and Colin Rowles, Sales Manager
• 13:00  Free to walk the Show
