MIA is hosting Europe’s leading conference for Low Carbon motorsport in Birmingham, the centre of Motorsport Valley. Lola-Drayson, launching their all-electric car are the official title hosts of the 2012 conference.

UK Motorsport technology now embraces; Hybrid, Low Carbon, Alternative Fuels, Electric, Sustainable and Intelligent Materials. The 2012 conference will have low carbon racing at its heart, no longer a theory, it is now reality. The technology is now proven with a host of suppliers and numerous racing activities.

Motorsport is being used more and more as the showcase for low carbon technologies and development. Toyota recently announced their hybrid engine assault on Le Mans 2012, Electric racing is booming from TTXGP and the eGrandPrix to the Electric Vehicle Cup presenting the world's first 'green' motor racing series. The high-profile partnership to develop the ground-breaking Lola-Drayson B12/69EV all-electric prototype racing car. Toyota Motorsport recently set a new lap record for an electric vehicle (EV) at the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit in Germany.

The conference element will involve PANEL DISCUSSION, bringing together thought-leaders and key influencers from motorsport, high-performance engineering and the automotive sectors.

In the same room will be the SHOWCASE EXHIBITION featuring real vehicles, concepts and prototypes - all demonstrating the race-proven and low carbon advances made by the high performance engineering community. The conference will then close with the UKTI INTERNATIONAL WELCOME RECEPTION to the Autosport International Show.
