20 September- briefing event on the very latest IDP15 Funding Opportunity
16 Aug 2018
The UK is positioned as a world leader in the development and manufacture of ultra-low / zero emission vehicles.
Innovate UK’s next round of substantial funding opens on 17th September, and in London on September 20th , all MIA members have been invited to attend a briefing event to learn about this new opportunity. Here is a link https://ktn-uk.co.uk/events/idp15-competition-briefing-london with full information for businesses of all sizes (micro, SME and large) including complimentary technology suppliers, behind ultra-low/zero emission vehicles, to learn more about this Innovate UK funding opportunity.
The Government’s Road to Zero strategy has set an expectation that by 2030 at least 50%, and as many as 70%, of new car sales, and up to 40% of new van sales, will be ultra-low emission. This builds on the commitment for all new cars and vans to be effectively zero emission by 2040. Progress on the transition to zero emission vehicles has increased over recent years thanks in part to Government supported programmes such as the Integrated Delivery Programme (IDP) and the Faraday Battery Challenge.
During this Briefing Event delegates will initially hear from representatives of the UK’s automotive sector, UKRI and the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV). Following this, Innovate UK will present the Competition briefing and cover IDP15’s scope and explain learn about the application process.
A particular benefit to be gained from attending this event is the significant opportunity delegates will have to network with organisations from across the automotive supply chain and the chance to engage, directly, with Innovate UK.
